The BMW M division is getting ready to unveil its very last non-electrified vehicle – the next generation of the M2 sports car set to debut on October 12, 2022. In the meantime, here’s an official teaser photo of it.
The coupe is shown camouflaged, but you can still discern a rear wing, bronze-tinted wheels and exhaust tips grouped in the middle.
It is already official that the production will take place at a factory in Mexico, alongside the more mundane 2-Series. The assembly process will begin in April 2023.
Powering the new M2 is a turbocharged inline-six engine with three liters of displacement and 450 PS (444 hp / 331 kW) at its disposal. Transmission choices will include six-speed manual and eight-speed automatic, and an all-wheel-drive version is also expected to be present.
