AC Schnitzer gets down to work on BMW M2 G87

The German tuner already has a special body kit going for the latest M2 Coupe, as well as some lightweight wheel rims and suspension lowering kits. An engine tune and an exhaust system are expected to arrive next spring.

On the outside, the M2 by AC Schnitzer resembles a racecar with its larger front splitter and side canards, longer side skirts and a hood with a contrasty decal. The rear end is just as impressive with its diffuser, roof spoiler and carbon-fiber rear wing (Gurney flap optional).

For the wheels, the company recommends its own AC4 Lightweight Forged set sized 20”. Those who would like a staggered look can order 21-inch rims for the rear axle. The more affordable AC1 Alloy set is also available. Whichever your choice, the tuner promises a considerable reduction in unsprung mass and better handling as a result.

Then there are coilovers. The default option lets you drop the ride height by 25-35 mm (1-1.4”) at the front end and by 20-30 mm (0.8-1.2”) at the rear end. As an alternative, you can request a simpler version that loses 5-10 mm of lowering at both ends in exchange for a lower price.

The AC-tuned BMW M2 (G87) will make its show entrance in Essen on December 1, 2023. Engine and exhaust upgrades are scheduled to go on sale next spring.
