Video: Designer fixes BMW M2 shortcomings using only sticky tape

Davis Yongwon Lee, chief designer at ADRO, has presented his own take on the latest BMW M2 coupe. The controversial appearance of the car can change drastically with just a few details dialed in, as these short videos and images prove.

At the front end, the designer reshaped the air intakes in the bumper and revised the headlight bezels a bit. Given how little time went into applying the black and red duct tape, it’s surprising how sporty and fit the result looks.

At the rear, Yongwon Lee redesigned the taillights by extending them further towards the middle. The bumper, the wheel arches and the rear spoiler were all left intact, yet the minor tweak made went a long way towards a lighter and more up-to-date appearance.

Davis, who had worked for Mercedes, Maybach, Hyundai and Rivian before, has already posted some 3D renderings visualizing these tweaks in a better way. Should there be enough of a market for it, ADRO will greenlight the styling kit into production.
