Official photos of the high-end BMW M2 Competition have been posted online by the manufacturer. The vehicle will celebrate its debut during a dedicated presentation event at the Beijing Automotive Exhibition (Auto China 2018) opening on April 25th.
The BMW M2 Competition performance car will get a revised 3.0-liter, twin-turbo V6 engine we are already familiar with thanks to the BMW M4 coupe. The manufacturer quotes performance of 410 hp (306 kW) and 550 Nm (406 lb·ft) of torque. Reportedly, the new BMW M2 Competition accelerates 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 4.2 seconds.
Among other things, the car gets new suspension and brakes, as well as a stylish body kit with improved aerodynamic properties. It’s also going to be lighter than the base model.
