BMW unveils M2 Competition Germany Edition

The German car manufacturer BMW has revealed a special version of the M2 Competition sports car named Germany Edition. The vehicle incorporates several unique M Performance features and is dedicated to the German team in the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

The limited series comes equipped with 3.0-liter engines rated at 405 hp (302 kW) and 550 Nm (406 lb·ft). It accelerates 0-100 km/h (0-60 mph) in four seconds and ultimately climbs to 280 km/h (174 mph).

On the outside, the BMW M2 Germany Edition comes lacquered in the colors of the German national soccer team (black, golden and red). It wears a carbon body kit consisting of a rear wing, a diffusor and a hood cover. The engine lid is also made of carbon.

The interior greets the viewer with a new wheel, carbon garnishes, chamois upholstery and stainless-steel pedals.

It’s really hard to say whether the German soccer fans are going to appreciate the release. Given that their favorite team just had a spectacular fiasco losing to South Korea and thus never making it into the playoff, they might as well not care for it.

The BMW M2 Competition vehicle family will soon completely replace the base M2 on the market, with prices beginning at U.S. $60,000.
