BMW has recently revealed M2 M Performance Parts, essentially an M2 sport coupe with the entire scope of compatible M Performance options already applied.
The engineer team outfitted the car with a carbon hood cover, radiator grille, side skirts, wings, diffusor, trunk lid, and roof. They replaced the stock wheels with forged 19” ones. These modifications have led to the coupe becoming 60 kg (132 lb) lighter and considerably more agile on the road.
The vehicle has also received upgraded suspension with adjustable clearance, compression and rebound.
Finally, the company swapped the standard seats with lighter ones, cutting on another 9 kg (20 lb) in front and 13 kg (29 lb) in the back.
No performance data have been provided. The car has most likely got a 3.0-liter, twin-turbo V6 engine capable of over 400 hp (300 kW) and working in conjunction with either a six-speed manual or a multi-speed semi-automatic transmission. Our best guess is that the BMW M Performance Parts will be able to accelerate 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 4.2 seconds.
