Man turns his BMW M3 (F80) into a DTM racecar lookalike

BMW has been participating in the German DTM Racing Series since 2012. Manning a purpose-built racecar called the BMW M3 DTM, the BMW Team Schnitzer has consistently managed to score high positions.

No wonder Niko Dujsik (Vienna, Austria) felt like styling his own M3 after the famous Bavarian vehicle piloted by Bruno Spengler – the same Bruno who helped BMW win the original DTM 2012 in Hoсkenheim.

He kicked things off by wrapping the entire body of his M3 in a matte-black film sourced from cool-tints.com. He then installed a hi-end APR Performance GTC-300 rear wing manufactured by Custom Engineering Koltay, a new diffusor, a splitter and PSM Dynamic side skirts.

The sports car also received an Akrapovic exhaust system with BMS valves, some M Performance Parts and a set of 20-inch RSE wheels wrapped in thin performance tires.

Other upgrades included air suspension featuring HP Drivetech shock absorber struts, a DTM M4 steering wheel, M4 GTS safety belts, Recaro Pole Position seats and many decorative elements made of carbon.

To finalize the racecar impression, Niko Dujsik added a Pleie roll cage and a fire extinguisher.

It sure is an anticlimactic thing to say, but the vehicle received no substantial under-the-hood improvements. In fact, the only bit of novelty comes in form of a custom air intake system.
