New BMW 3 M leaks in spy photos, once again

It looks like BMW keeps working on perfecting the next generation of its M3 sedan. The test mule of the new M3 was spotted out in the open once again, just few days ago. It had less camouflage on this time around, too.

Now, the official premiere of the vehicle won’t happen until the Frankfurt Motor Show coming up in the fall of 2019, so let’s take a better look at it while we can, right?

The front part of the car retains the recognizable features of the M340i. An aggressively styled front bumper, fresh alloy rims concealing blue performance brake calipers, new aerodynamic parts on the sides, reshaped brake lights and a quad-pipe exhaust system are all immediately noticeable.

Rumors insist that the 2020 BMW M3 will ship with all-wheel drive, an 8-speed automatic transmission, and a brand-new 3.0L turbo V6 engine rated at an impressive 474 hp (353 kW) and 650 Nm (480 lbft) of torque. This isn’t official, though.

Later on, the M3 family may be expanded to incorporate a more conservative entry-level trim with rear-wheel drive and a six-speed manual gear.
