The police in Australia has begun using unmarked F80 BMW M3 sedans for stealth patrolling and prevention of illegal street racing.
Unmarked though the car is, you can still tell it from the rest of the traffic thanks to red-and-blue LED signal lights located behind the rear door windows, in the front bumper, behind the windshield, and at the rear end.
Powering the F80 BMW M3 is a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 rated at 431 hp (321 kW) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque. The standard launch takes barely more than four seconds, and the top speed is 280 km/h (174 mph).
Using high-end sports cars for police purposes is commonplace in Australia, with the Holden Commodore, the Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S Coupe and the Mercedes-AMG E 43 being only a few further examples.
