BMW M3 flashes its enormous nostrils

A leaked pic of the next-gen BMW M3 confirms the fears many had about the radiator grille. Yes, it looks even larger than that of the technically similar 4 Series.

There is also a black spot between the grille ‘nostrils’, which is most likely the front-facing camera of the car’s all-around view system. As for the headlights, these look different from the standard BMW 3 Series fare.

Another pic in the gallery here shows the rear end of a BMW M3 prototype spotted last autumn. Judging by it, the new generation will keep its wide wheel arches, rear diffuser, rear spoiler, and quad tailpipes.

It is official that both the BMW M3 sedan/saloon and the M4 coupe will ship with the same turbocharged, three-liter, inline-six engine (S58) as the current X3 M and X4 M. Customers will be able to choose between six-speed manual and eight-speed auto for the transmission, as well as between RWD and AWD.

The launch date of the new BMW M3 remains completely unknown.
