G-Power pushes the BMW M340i xDrive up to 510 hp

While the world is still waiting for the next-gen BMW M3 and M4, German tuner G-Power keeps the current-gen flagship as relevant as possible.

The M340i xDrive leaves the factory equipped with a turbocharged inline-six engine rated at 374 hp (279 kW) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque. G-Power offers three ways to boost it, the Stage 1 chip tune being the least invasive. Once applied, it raises the output to 420 hp (313 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque.

Stage 2 adds a stainless-steel downpipe, a 200-cell catalytic converter, and a valve-controlled sports exhaust system. All of this results in 470 hp (350 kW) and 650 Nm (480 lb-ft) of torque.

Hardcore tuning enthusiasts may treat themselves to the Stage 3, which includes enhanced turbochargers and new engine software. The result exceeds 510 hp (380 kW) and 690 Nm (510 lb-ft).

Those who choose to upgrade their BMW M340i xDrive at G-Power may opt for speed limiter removal and installation of a new odometer gauge stretching as far as 330 km/h (205 mph).
