BMW keeps teasing us with new materials about its upcoming M3 sedan. In this latest video, it takes the four-seater to the legendary Nordschleife raceway and the adjacent roads.
There is still a wrap covering the car body, but some conclusions can made nonetheless. For one, the M3 is not getting the same huge “nostril grille” as the new 4 Series and M4.
The BMW M3 will mainly ship with four-wheel drive and the ability to uncouple the front axle, just like on the M5. There will also be a more conservative spec called Pure, which will hit the market in early 2021 and pack manual gear shifting, an inline-six engine de-boosted to 480 hp (358 kW), and a number of distinct stylistic traits (bumpers, wheels and paints).
The AWD saloon with automatic transmission and 510 hp (380 kW) will follow it in late 2021, and the lightweight/high-end M3 CS should come out in 2022.
