AS you probably know, the entry-level M3 costs €82,500 and packs an IC engine rated at 480 PS (473 hp / 353 kW). It needs 4.2 seconds to get to 100 km/h (62 mph) using its rear-wheel drive. dÄHLer suggests getting an M340i AWD instead and tuning it to match, saving up to €17,300 on the difference.
The stock M340i has 374 PS (369 hp / 275 kW) and can reach 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds. An ECU remap and a new exhaust system, bundled together for €5,000, raise its output to 455 PS (449 hp / 335 kW). Another option is coming up that promises 475 PS (468 hp / 349 kW), but contents and pricing remain to be announced.
The upgrade is available for sedans and station wagons equipped with the latest mild-hybrid BMW powertrain.
