Video: 620-PS Manhart-tuned BMW M3 speeds down an autobahn

Manhart worked its tuning magic on the latest-gen BMW M3 sedan and M4 coupe a few months ago, and thanks to the team of AutoTopNL, we may now assess the performance of the latter car in real-world conditions.

The Manhart rendition of the M3 produces 620 PS (611 hp / 456 kW) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque thanks to an external ECU and a purpose-built exhaust system with a deleted particle filter. As you can hear in the video, the sound becomes sharper and more characteristic of a track-focused car.

As far as the timings, the M3 was able to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.94 seconds with launch control on. It then proceeded to pass 200 km/h (124 mph) in 10.5 seconds total and stopped accelerating at 295 km/h (183 mph), although the driver said it could go even faster than that.

AutoTopNL completed a quarter-mile in 11.37 seconds and a half-mile in 17.58 seconds. Note also how confident the new M3 felt entering corners at such accelerations.
