The first time we saw a performance-focused BMW M3 Touring wagon was in 2020, when the company published an announcement video. Now, a pre-production car was spotted being driven near the North Loop.
Despite the camouflage, one can still discern a few interesting details, including lighting at both ends, bumpers, a radiator grille, and quad exhaust finishers.
It is official that the car comes powered by a 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder normally rated at 480 PS (473 hp / 353 kW) on the M3 and M4. Opting for a Competition spec lifts the output by 30 PS (30 hp / 23 kW).
The launch remains scheduled for late 2022.
