BMW has posted a new video featuring a veiled M3 Touring and two company representatives discussing the performance of the wagon on the North Loop. The movie is 6m 30s long and sheds light on how prototypes are being tested at their very limits.
Among other things, we now know that the same team of professionals that brought us the latest M3 sedan and M4 coupe developed the M3 family hauler, too. Designers, engineers, electronic system experts and other pros continually monitor the performance of the Touring on the Nürburgring and let the QA department decide what is good enough and what needs improvement.
The estate car will go into production in Munich, Germany soon. BMW says it will be easier than organizing production at a different factory, but some upgrading of assembly lines will still be required.
