BMW M3 Touring sets off to Goodwood for a hill climb

BMW M will continue celebrating turning 50 years old at the Goodwood Festival of Speed coming up later this month. At the pinnacle of the celebration, the German sports car division will send an M3 Touring to the famous Goodwood Hill Climb race.

The car will be accompanied by the recently introduced BMW M4 CSL. Aside from these two, the exhibition area of the Bavarian company will have an iX1, i7, i4, and iX M60 on display.

The race will take place on June 23, 2022. In the meantime, the M division has published a new teaser pic showing the rear end of the M3 Touring from a three-quarters perspective with the taillights on.

The wagon-shaped M3 will mimic the sedan as far as the large radiator grille and air intakes are concerned, because it has to keep its large engine cool at all times. Rumor has it that the M3 Touring has set a new Nürburgring record by outrunning the current record holder by whole 15 seconds. This remains to be confirmed.
