Hot footage from the Goodwood Festival of Speed shows a wagon-shaped M3 bravely cutting through bad weather on its way to the top.
As we already know, the car uses a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six engine rated at 510 PS (503 hp / 375 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque. An eight-speed M Steptronic transmission drives all four wheels, letting it reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.6 seconds before maxing out at 280 km/h (174 mph). The latter is possible thanks to an optional speed limit lift, without which the max speed remains capped at 250 km/h (155 mph).
If you happen to live in the United States, watching this video is one of the few ways you can get a taste of the M3 Touring. BMW said the wagon was rather expensive to launch in North America and ultimately not viable given the dominance of SUVs, crossovers and trucks on that market.
