Every self-respecting car enthusiast will tell a crossover utility vehicle from a body-on-frame off-roader. Despite its premium status and potent AWD system, the Audi Q7 falls into the former category. The one you see here is a major exception, though.
The author of this project lives in Kuwait and has a number of serious SUVs in his garage aside from the Q7, including a Toyota Land Cruiser, a Nissan Patrol and a Jeep Wrangler. After a while, he got tired of constantly switching cars between the city and the desert and decided to build a versatile Q7 that would no longer be afraid of leaving the asphalt.
Thus was this badass off-roader born – with a suspension lift kit, new bumpers for optimal approach and departure angles, and extra LED lighting all around.
Going further, the owner added a solar panel to the roof and put a fridge inside the cabin along with a portable shower, so that he could chill and relax out in the wild after a long drive through the hot desert. He also put a 10.5-inch multimedia screen on the center console and installed a LED control panel to the left of the dashboard.
