BMW M3 Touring improves cornering performance with KW V4 suspension

The newest generation of the BMW M3 Touring has been around in Europe since November with 517 PS (510 hp / 380 kW) under the hood – quite a track-friendly output if it were not for the squishy standard suspension. Well, KW Suspensions has just addressed that flaw by releasing custom coilovers for the model.

The kit is called KW Variant 4 and lets you drop the ride height by 20-35 mm (0.8-1.4”) at the front and 15-30 mm (0.6-1.2”) at the back. As a result, there is less side rolling, the handling is improved and you can make faster corners. The dampers are 3-way adjustable thanks to individual valves controlling one parameter each. KW points out that on an uneven (rippled) road, stiffer suspension settings will actually give you a smoother ride than the stock suspension ever will.

The upgrade kit costs from €5,670 in Germany.
