R44 Performance turns BMW M3 Touring into an art form on wheels

UK-based tuning company R44 Performance has gotten its hands on a BMW M3 (G81) and turned it into a SEMA show car with exterior, cabin and powertrain upgrades.

Starting on the outside, the wagon received a full carbon-fiber body kit comprising a front splitter, side sill extensions, a revised radiator grille, new mirror covers, assorted bumper trims and a sportier-looking rear diffuser. All parts were fabricated by MHC, a subdivision of R44 Performance, with only the carbon roof sourced from Alpha-N Performance.

A glance upon the arches reveals a set of Vossen S21-08 multi-piece forged wheels sporting 20-inch carbon rims. This bespoke set was co-designed with Dymag specifically for the project. A suspension kit from Air Lift Performance rounds off the sporty look.

There isn’t as much going on in the cabin, but it still gets a Momo steering wheel with JQ Werks Madtrace controls attached. As for the engine, it takes advantage of a superior oil cooler, an ECU tune and a single large Precision turbocharger instead of two smaller ones. The exact output isn’t specified, but the car in the video handles and sounds like a dream.
