BMW says farewell to the M4 with Edition ///M Heritage

BMW will be unveiling the last special series of its M4 Coupe, called the Edition ///M Heritage, at the upcoming DTM Racing Championship held on the Nürburgring, Germany.

The farewell batch will consist of 750 cars and will be in production from November 2019 until April 2020.

Exterior differences compared to the main M4 series include 20-inch matte-grey wheels and special badges, among other things. The paint can be Imola Red, Laguna Seca Blue or Velvet Blue, and you can find all three colors as stripes next to the M4 logo.

The cabin offers leather-bound seats whose trim scheme depends on the exterior paint choice. The Imola Red M4 gets red/black seats with red/yellow stitching, while both Blue versions get black/white seats interspersed with deep blue, orange and turquoise accents.

Technical novelty is absent, meaning each vehicle ships with the standard M4 Competition package pre-installed, and nothing else. A 3.0-liter, turbocharged, six-cylinder engine under the hood is good for 450 hp (336 kW) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque.

This is not the first ‘farewell edition’ to be released by the Bavarian manufacturer. 200 units of the BMW M4 DTM Coupe Champion Edition rolled off the assembly lines in 2015, followed by 300 BMW M4 Convertible Edition 30 Jahre two years later.

The next generation of the BMW М4 will debut next year.
