The new BMW 4 Series premiered early this summer, with the performance-packed M4 scheduled to join the range on September 23. The Bavarian automaker keeps us invested by posting one M4 photo after another, but today, it also shared a dozen of shots of the racetrack-only BMW M4 GT3.
The prototype cars shown here were racing at the Red Bull Ring in Austria, which will host the next stage of the MotoGP BMW M Grand Prix of Styria in a few days.
All we know right now is that the standard BMW M4 will ship with a 480hp (358kW) engine mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. The Competition spec will debut simultaneously with it, offering superior 510hp (380 kW).
As for the GT3 racecar, it will benefit from a redesigned twin-turbo six-cylinder engine and sport wider fenders, a body kit, a new hood, rear wing and radiator grille. It should come out sometime in 2021.
