BMW M4 x Kith prioritizes style over substance

BMW has collaborated with the New York fashion brand Kith to produce a limited series of the M4 Competition Coupe.

The production run consists of 150 units available in three colors: white, dark silver and black.

A striped carbon-fiber roof with the fashion designer’s name on it is the main highlight of the series. The list goes on to mention forged-bi-color wheels sized 20” in the rear, red calipers, tri-color bucket seats, contrast-rich interior accents and exclusive logos.

The tech stays unmodified: an inline-six engine sits under the hood, producing up to 510 hp (380 kW) and 650 Nm (480 lb-ft) of torque. The transmission is eight-speed automatic, and getting from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) is a matter of 3.9 seconds.

The pre-orders are already running, but the shipments won’t begin until summer 2021.
