Video: BMW M4 rips through the autobahn rocking a superturbo setup

The BMW S55B30 is quite a popular three-liter inline-six mill among all kinds of tuners, but ASA and Infinitas just came up with a way to dial its output up to 11.

The power kit includes a special supercharger that Infinitas installs in front of the stock dual-turbo setup, rather than instead of it. As a result, the whole system operates under much higher pressure and burns gas more efficiently.

In its current implementation, the kit is called SK1 and grants a boost to 600 PS (592 hp / 441 kW) along with 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque. The shipment also includes a sports-grade air filter, an intercooler, aluminum piping, and other performance components.

The M4 featured in the attached video by AutoTopNL has no trouble crossing the 300 km/h (186 mph) mark and exhibits next to no turbo lag. Of course, the upgrade is not that cheap at €7,000 for the parts and around €2,100 for the installation. On the plus side, it is compatible with all other models using the same engine, including the F8x M3, the F87 M2, and the M2 CS. Later on, Infinitas expects to keep polishing it until it manages to get 1,000 PS (986 hp / 735 kW) and 1,100 Nm (811 lb-ft) of torque out of its crazy super-and-turbocharger setup.
