It has been nearly a year since we first saw the BMW M4 CSL testing, and now, the company has finally put a premiere date on the model. The hardcore M4 will celebrate its live debut at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Italy on May 20-22, 2022.
Judging by the first teasers of the model, it sports yellow DRLs similar to those of some BMW racecars and the range-topping M5 CS. The taillights are new, too.
Elsewhere, the coupe sports a front grille with a Y-shaped pattern, widened skirts, a prominent front splitter, a rear spoiler, and four exhaust finishers.
Compared to the standard BMW M4, the CSL is around 100 kg (220 lbs) lighter thanks to an extensive use of carbon fiber, lighter wheels, and the lack of a rear bench inside.
Rumor has it only 100 units will be made.
