BMW has confirmed working on a CS version of its G82 M4 coupe, which will be released next year and coincide with the planned update of the company’s other performance vehicles.
The new M4 CS will most likely be technically identical to the M3 CS in most aspects. According to Franciscus van Meel, CEO of BMW M, the sales will begin in mid-2024 – hence, the premiere should take place at the beginning of the year.
Few other details are available at the moment. The new CS is expected to slot in between the ‘normal’ M4 and the hardcore M4 CSL released in time for the 50th birthday of the BMW M.
The CS version of the latest M3 sedan is its most hardcore modification on the market, combining stock M3 tech with certain solutions borrowed from the M4 CSL. It is considered one of the world’s fastest saloons and is set to be released in a series of fewer than 2,000 units. The M4 CS should get the same treatment.
