Now look under the hood, and you’ll be in for a surprise. The stock diesel engine of the luxury sedan got a boost from its already decent 394 hp (294 kW) and 760 Nm (560 lb×ft) of torque to some staggering 508 hp (380 kW) and 865 Nm (638 lb×ft).
The tuner mcchip-dkr pledges to power up your BMW M550d xDrive for just $1,930. Along with the power boost, the maximum speed of the car goes up from 255 to 295 km/h (or from 158 to 183 mph).
If you would rather save the money, consider a boost to 464 hp (346 kW) and 850 Nm (627 lb×ft), which comes priced at very reasonable $1,600.
