Such well-known car workshops as G-Power, RaceChip and Mcchip-DKR have already offered their performance upgrades for the BMW M5 (F90). DTE Systems joins the club today with their own solution that brings the performance up to 696 hp (519 kW) and 896 Nm (661 lb×ft) of torque.
You may recall that the stock BMW M5 is capable of 600 hp (447 kW) and 750 Nm (553 lb×ft), a rather impressive power output straight from the factory. Still, the upgrade is a mere matter of chip tuning and only takes a few minutes to install and activate, so it can’t hurt to have.
Aside from the power boost, DTE Systems suggests purchasing its trademark PedalBox, which should improve acceleration by further 10 percent. Just like the previous upgrade, it only takes a few minutes to install.
