The Top Gear magazine decided to arrange a drag race between two BMW M5s, one of these being a stock M5 with the BMW Competition Package installed and the other one tuned by DMS.
In its production form, the sports car ships equipped with a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine rated at 625 hp (466 kW) and 750 Nm (553 lbft) of torque. It sprints 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.3 seconds and all the way up to 305 km/h (190 mph) as long as the conditions enable it.
The customized M5 isn’t just stronger than that, but also weighs 10 kilograms (22 pounds) less. It has 774 hp (577 kW) along with 880 Nm (650 lbft) of maximum torque at its disposal. DMS does not reveal any acceleration times, though.
Around a year ago, German tuner Manhart introduced its own version of the BMW M5 F90, called the MH5 700. The car got a boost to 723 hp (539 kW) and 870 Nm (642 lbft) of torque, enabling it to bridge the gap between 100 km/h (62 mph) and 200 km/h (124 mph) in 5.9 seconds.
