The BMW M5 CS is right around the corner, and the latest bunch of spy photos shows the supersedan testing at the Hockenheimring, with the North Loop circuit map embossed into its front seat headrests.
Anonymous sources claim the car gets 635 PS (626 hp / 467 kW) out of its twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8. If true, this would make the Competition spec 10 hp (7 kW) less powerful in comparison. That, and the carbon-fiber front seats should result in the car shedding 70 kg (154 lbs) of weight.
The manufacturer claims that when the M5 CS debuts in December, it will officially be recognized as the marque’s fastest vehicle in history.
