BMW has officially confirmed it’s been working on a sporty Competition Package modification intended for the latest M5 sedan. What does it come with?
First and foremost, it’s an engine upgrade. After installing the BMW M5 Competition Package, you’ll get a potent 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 with a 625-horsepower output (compared to the 600 hp in the stock version). It also gets several chassis improvements along with stiffer suspension, composite brakes and the mandatory new alloy wheels.
The BMW M5 Competition Package will be shown to the guests of the 88th Geneva International Motor Show in Switzerland on March 8-18, 2018. Perhaps then we will learn about the price.
