Manhart rolls out another bloodthirsty BMW M5

It has been two years since Manhart unveiled its no-nonsense MH5 800 Black Edition sedan with BMW M5 roots (see video). Today, it has produced a similar-looking example with some notable modifications and improvements.

Like before, the car relies on an extensively upgraded 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 that now makes 815 PS (804 hp / 600 kW) and 1,030 Nm (760 lb-ft) of torque. The original was marginally more powerful than that, but only marginally.

Thanks to new turbos, a performance exhaust system with carbon tips and other modifications, the car now reaches 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.6 seconds and proceeds to hit 100 km/h (124 mph) in another six seconds.

Unlike most Manhart projects, this one lacks the dull-gold exterior accents, keeping things fashionably black for the most part. The hood, the spoilers at both ends and the diffuser extension are all made from carbon fiber. Hamann Anniversary EVO wheels sized 21 inches across fill out the arches along with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tires.

The interior has its own share of carbon details to boast, including paddle shifters under the wheel, and there is no missing the branded floor mats.

Manhart did not delve into any pricing details.
