We have seen many ridiculously fast BMW M5s on German speedways, but never quite an E60 model capable of 367 km/h (228 miles per hour). Proclaimed the fastest street-legal BMW worldwide in 2009, the tuned ride may have lost its edge over the years, so TopSpeedGermany decided to see how well it would perform if asked to flex its muscles.
Lumma Design and G-Power teamed up to create this monster of an M5 a decade and a half ago. While no longer the most extreme build around, it still inspires fear in anyone not confident of their driving skills. Luckily for us, the pilot in the video knows that he is doing.
Powering the one-off build is a twin-supercharged V10 rated at 700 PS (690 hp / 515 kW). The output is enough to take you from standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.2 seconds. But will it hit its tuner-rated acceleration limit mentioned above? Watch and find out!
