The talented team of tuners over at G-Power has worked its magic on another BMW M5 Competition Sport, tucking in 820 metric horsepower behind a rather restrained and elegant façade.
Per the documentation, the F90 M5 commands 635 PS (626 hp / 467 kW) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque straight from the factory – one would be hard-pressed to find uses for more power in a sedan. Not just that, but actual dyno measurements suggest that most examples make nearly 700 PS (690 hp / 515 kW).
G-Power takes these numbers and turns them into 820 PS (809 hp / 603 kW) and 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft). The boost is accomplished with an improved pair of turbos, a more efficient intercooler and a new exhaust system. Control units for both the engine and the transmission get some mandatory calibration, too.
For options, customers can consider a carbon-fiber engine bay lid, a body kit made from the same material, and the tuner’s signature wheels. The car in the gallery below wears a set of forged Hurricane RS rims, but other options are available, too.
There is no mention of sprint times, but a few months ago, G-Power released a technically identical BMW G5M that could zap from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in barely more than two seconds. Watch the video, you will be impressed.
