The BMW M5 is precisely the kind of family saloon you can take to the grocery store and then to the Nürburgring. The Mercedes-AMG GT S may not be as versatile, but the differences vanish when it comes to straight-line acceleration racing.
The video below features a modded M5 (F10) equipped with a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 boosted to 608 PS (600 hp / 447 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft). Its rival, the AMG GT S, makes do with a stock 4.0-liter V8 TT rated at just 522 PS (515 hp / 384 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque.
In the three races that followed, each of the contenders scored at least one victory. But which one won the whole competition? Watch and find out!
