A BMW E39 M5 with just 1,200 kilometers (~745 miles) under its belt to show for being two decades old is being offered in mint condition in the United States for a supercar-defying $299,990.
The M ride is offered in what pretty much amounts to factory condition. Since rolling off the assembly line in 2003 (the last year the E39 sedan was made), it had stayed in a single family of car collectors from Puerto Rico.
The seller claims the environment was climate-controlled. The car itself wears an Imola Red paintjob (watch the video for a closer look) and has red cabin details to match. The trim level is maxed-out with an LCD head unit, Xenon headlamps, parking sensors, leather and Alcantara.
A V8 under the hood drives the rear wheels with 400 PS (395 hp / 294 kW) through a six-speed manual transmission. The seller took care to conduct a complete round of pre-sale maintenance, replacing the tires among other things.
