BMW is getting a new M5 Touring ready for premiere. The wagon has recently been sighted at the Nürburgring with a grey ‘Electrified Vehicle’ sticker on its front passenger’s door.
The car looked mostly production-ready. The taillights in particular seem finalized in the photos, something that wasn’t the case not long ago. The tailpipes are also new and appear slightly larger.
It seems like both the M5 sedan and its Touring counterpart will ship with a partly electric drivetrain. We expect it to be of the plug-in hybrid type.
The new 5-Series (see video) has already been introduced, but its M version has been stalling for time. Recent rumors have claimed that it may not be out until 2024.
