Drag Race: Non-stock BMW M5 vs. Audi RS6 vs. AMG E63

Carwow has brought three mildly tuned cars to the drag strip: a BMW M5, an Audi RS6 and a Mercedes-AMG E 63.

The practical AMG packs a four-liter, twin-turbo V8 with 810 PS (799 hp / 596 kW) and 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft) of torque. It has a nine-speed transmission and weighs 1,995 kilos (4,398 lbs).

The M5 and the RS 6 both get 750 PS (740 hp / 552 kW) out of their engines, but while the M5 benefits from a robust 4.4-liter V8, the Audi makes do with four liters of displacement. Both deliver the momentum via an eight-speed automatic transmission, but the RS 6 is substantially heavier at 2,100 kg (4,629 lbs) versus 1,865 kg (4,111 lbs).

Watch the video to find out how the three compared. We’ll just say that the winner managed to finish its quarter-mile run in 10.5 seconds.
