First photos showing BMW M5, the fastest-going sedan model of the German car manufacturer, wearing the hi-end Competition Package have appeared on the official website of the marque. The vehicle should premiere later this month.
The next-gen BMW X5 gets a revised 4.4-liter V8 TT engine rated at 625 hp (466 kW) – 25 hp (18.5 kW) above the predecessor model. It is also going to deliver up to 800 Nm (590 lb·ft) of torque, which is also 50 Nm (37 lb·ft) better than the previous result.
Driven by an engine like this, the new BMW M5 can accelerate 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.3 seconds and ultimately exceed 300 km/h (186 mph).
Compared to the production car, the BMW M5 Competition Package features designer-made aluminum alloy wheels, stiffer suspension, readjusted chassis and carbon-ceramic disc brakes.
Market release is expected in summer 2018.
