German car tuning atelier AC Schnitzer has built the fastest-going modification of the MBW M5 sedan and immediately went on to test it on the famous Nürburgring Circuit.
The BMW M5 by AC Schnitzer comes equipped with a 4.4L turbo engine with 600 hp / 450 kW of performance taken up to 700 hp / 525kW. It also features lowered suspension, lighter “rims” and an aerodynamic rear wing.
Piloted by famous racecar driver Jörg Müller, the car has managed to complete the lap in 7m 29.5s, which is 9s better than the result of the series-produced M5. The absolute record of the track is still held by a hi-end Jaguar vehicle that has previously beaten the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ to the title.
