Tuners boost the BMW M5 to 720 hp

Chip tuner Mcchip-DKR has released two performance upgrades for the latest BMW M5 F90 (F5LM). In its stock version, the car has 600 hp (447 kW) at its disposal. The first upgrade brings it up to 720 hp (537 kW) – but it gets better than that.

As per the tradition, the two upgrades are called the Stage 1 and Stage 2. The former boosts the engine by 120 hp and 140 Nm to a total of 720 hp (537 kW) and 890 Nm (656 lb·ft). It also raises the electronic speed limit from the stock 305 km/h to 335 km/h (190 to 208 mph).

The Stage 2 package should bring even more performance to the table, however, it is still unavailable for purchase on the company’s official website. Mcchip-DKR remains tight-lipped about any details, but industry professionals say it might hit 775 hp (578 kW) and 900 Nm (664 lb·ft).
