BMW M6 takes over 54 cars in a single Nürburgring lap

David Pittard, a professional racing driver from Great Britain, has managed to outrace fifty-four vehicles with his BMW M6 GT3 at the North Loop when he realized it was going to rain.

According to him, he noticed the clouds and felt like finishing his training lap as soon as possible, so he floored the pedal and started maneuvering past all the other vehicles on the track.

While a remarkable achievement as is, the lap will likely not be officially recognized as a record because of how much more powerful the BMW Pittard piloted was compared to most of the competition.

Specifically, the Bavarian racer came equipped with a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 making 585 PS (577 hp / 430 kW), delivered to the wheels through a six-speed sequential transmission. The track-only M6 also weighs in at only 1,300 kg (2,865 lbs) – a whopping 625 kilos (1,378 lbs) below its road-legal counterpart.
