Video: 900-PS BMW M6 runs through its courses

The owner of this F13 BMW M6 must have felt its 560-PS (552-hp / 412-kW) engine lacking, so he set off on a quest to bolster the output to 1,000 metric horsepower running on standard gasoline.

The task proved more challenging than you might expect. The entire engine had to be reworked from the ground up, all alloy internals replaced with heavy-duty forged ones, and a methanol injection system had to be added to achieve the desired acceleration.

At this point, the mill already churns out 891 PS (879 hp / 655 kW) and 1,106 Nm (816 lb-ft) of torque. Interestingly enough, the tuner never bothered upgrading the stock turbos. Perhaps replacing them will help achieve the desired 1,000 PS (986 hp / 735 kW).

On the outside, you will recognize the unique fastback thanks to abundant carbon fiber kit parts and LED headlights borrowed from a model year 2016 BMW. H&R lowering springs ensure new wheels sit tightly in their arches, while a sports exhaust system lends the engine an aesthetically pleasing soundtrack.
