BMW and Lego have teamed up on two scale models at once, one dedicated to the M Hybrid M8 endurance racer and the other one to the M4 GT3 track weapon. Both are sold as parts of a single set from the Speed Champions series.
The Bavarian automaker believes that both toys closely resemble their real-life counterparts. Aside from matching liveries, they have the same proportions and even the same body kit parts, including all the spoilers, diffusers and anti-wings.
You can take the top off either car to reveal a detailed racing cockpit with bucket seats you can put driver figurines into. The entire set comprises 676 parts. According to BMW, even small kids will be able to piece it together, but the suggested age is 9 or older.
The set is already on sale in Europe for €49,99.
The real BMW M Hybrid V8 and M4 GT3 are set to participate in this year’s racing season, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans. This year marks the company’s comeback into the big motorsports after a 25-year hiatus it went on following the triumph of its V12 LMR prototype.
