The third generation of the BMM X1 crossover came out for a series of tests along with the all-electric iX3 model. Some details can be clearly seen despite the camo wrap.
The first thing that catches the eye is the radiator grille, which actually looks nicely proportioned and not overblown like on the latest 4 Series. Then again, this might be not the final version of the grille. Second, the inclination angle of the c-pillars and the roof is notably less steep than that of the current X1 – which was most likely done to set the new X1 visually apart from the coupe-shaped X2.
No technical specs are available to date. When the BMW X1 ships, it will likely come in a variety of versions, including mild hybrids and PHEVs, as well as the all-electric iX1.
