As evidenced by these spy shots, the Bavarian carmaker has begun testing the next iteration of its X1 model penciled in for market launch in the first half of 2022.
The mini-SUV is technically identical to the current-gen BMW 1 Series hatchback while taking inspiration from the X2 in terms of overall design.
Based on the photos one can say that the newcomer looks a bit bulkier than its predecessor, as well as edgier and with a larger radiator grille. The interior isn’t on display, but it should certainly deliver everything we expect from it in terms of comfort, safety and entertainment.
The car comes based on an updated revision of the UKL platform used by the current X1 (shown in the video).
