BMW plans to introduce the next generation of the X2 next year, but pre-production vehicles have been sighted on the streets since October 2022. The latest bunch of shots finally shows the cabin along with the exterior.
As you would expect, the layout is basically the same as in the new BMW X1 launched last year. The easiest way to see the similarity is to look at the display combining the dashboard and the infotainment system under a solid pane of glass.
The AC vents, the center console and even the cup holders look indistinguishable from those of the X1, which is not too surprising since both models come built on the same platform. The spec depicted is an M35i, by the way – note the M steering wheel and seats.
We fully expect the exterior to follow suit and look barely different from the X1. At the same time, the new X2 shapes up to be slightly larger than its current iteration (see video).
