Dinan Engineering has expanded its product range with a new cat-back exhaust system for the BMW X3 M (F97) and its technical twin, the X4 M (F98). Superior sound is not the only advantage on the list this time around.
The system is 76mm (3”) wide and culminates in quad tailpipes 114mm (4.45”) in diameter. Customers can opt for polished or black ceramic finish with an engraved vendor’s logo. Despite being made of stainless steel, the whole unit is 2.3 kilos (5 pounds) lighter than the stock one and raises the engine stats by around 8 hp (6 kW) and 8 Nm (6 lb-ft).
The upgrade is compatible with the BMW on-board electronics, so you can adjust the valve in-car whenever you feel like trying a different exhaust tune.
