BMW had only recently premiered the new X2/iX2, as well as the X5 and X6 facelifts before them, but car spotted have already tracked down the next-generation X3 being tested on public roads.
Most of the shots depict what looks like a standard-issue, basic X3 without any M Sport accessories on. The wheels look smallish compared to the body, but they appear to be 20 inches large. In that case, it is the body that has become larger in the facelift version. Other than that, the overall design stays the same except for maybe the door handles. These are now installed flush with the sides, making the profile smoother an reducing the drag.
The other prototype sighted on the streets this week had wider tires on and a quad-tip exhaust system, both telltale features of the M Performance package. The photographer only snapped one pic from behind, but you can still take a good look at the updated taillights.
